KNOWLEDGE SHARING & APPLICATION in COLLABORATIVE PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Abstract
Over the past ten years different types of intellectual property-based business strategies (or licensing business models) have been adopted by companies in different sectors ranging from wireless media and semiconductors, to novel devices and bio-pharmaceuticals. These have introduced a new dynamic in the dissemination of knowledge within licensing. The associated risks are, however, addressed by recent changes in the European Commission’s analysis of, and guidelines for, technology transfer agreements.
