A framework for implementing and managing systematic innovation: A manufacturing company case study
Abstract
The concept of innovation is valued in most organizations to create and sustain competitive advantage. Firms need to innovate in order to stay ahead in the market. So Innovation process has been studied by different authors who have in fact developed their own innovation models which explain the foundations of the innovation process; however, few try to define how to implement it. This paper introduces, across a case of study, how to implement and even less how to provide the needed tools to incorporate innovation as part of the company culture, just for the sake of argument, to enable companies to effectively implement systematic innovation. In this paper, we provide an implementation success practice in a small-sized automotive-industry company and we discuss the difficulties found along the way, and how to effectively overcome the problems.
